Before our journey deepens, we take a scenic drive through lush landscapes, making a memorable stop at a renowned rhino conservation centre in the Bela Bela district. Here, we learn firsthand about ongoing efforts to protect these magnificent animals and have the opportunity to observe them in their natural habitat. As evening falls, we settle into a tranquil campsite nestled within a wildlife sanctuary, where the sights and sounds of the bush set the stage for the adventures that await.

Day 3 unfolds with an early morning departure as we journey eastward, the landscape gradually giving way to the wild beauty of the Lowveld. Along the route, we pause for coffee and a snack as we descend down the escarpment, soaking in the tranquil vistas. By midday, we arrive and after settling into our comfortable lodge, we spend the afternoon unwinding, perhaps taking a short guided walk to observe birdlife or simply relaxing as the sun dips below the Acacia-dotted horizon. The evening brings a traditional African dinner, paired with regional wines and the anticipation of new adventures as we prepare to explore deeper into the heart of South Africa’s wildlife and culture.

We visit a local African community and experience their “Nourish Eco Village Program” and look around the Hoedspruit area and see the many local crafts and curious for sale.

We explore the “Down to Wire” anti-poaching facility to hear about anti-poaching efforts, particularly those targeting rhino poaching. Conclude with a visit to the GreenTrax canine anti-poaching unit to see how dogs are used in wildlife protection.

We enter Kruger Park in the central region and spend two days leisurely driving in our Safari bus, viewing the large variety of wildlife to be seen in the flagship National Park of South Africa.

We leave Kruger Park in time to connect with a flight from Johannesburg to Cape Town. We are met by our Ecolife guide at the airport who will take us to our Lodge/Hotel in the Stellenbosch district where we check in and settle in the heart of the wine region for a local feast and some of the best wines the region has to offer.

Our Ecolife guide will join you on the flight, collect our new comfortable bus at the airport and take us to our Lodge/Hotel in the Stellenbosch district where we check in and settle in the heart of the wine region for a fine dinner and some of the best wine the region has to offer.

Today is spend on a wine tour visiting Paarl, Franschhoek and Stellenbosch and includes three top wineries. Overnight at our same hotel in Stellenbosch.

After breakfast we travel towards Simonstown and view the endangered penguin species in their natural habitat at Boulders Beach which form part of the Table Mountain National Park. The board walks make it possible to get close and personal with these unique marine birds.

We proceed further along the scenic western coastline of False Bay, enter the Cape Point Nature Reserve and move leisurely towards Cape Point to the lookout post with the spectacular view where the Indian Ocean greets the Atlantic Ocean. In the afternoon we go to the famous Hout Bay for a fresh fish dinner and of course wines of the region, and return to our hotel in the evening.

We travel to Cape Town (1 h) and view the scenery on our way and check into our hotel for the last three nights. Weather permitting, we spend the afternoon on the famous Clifton beach

Spend the day at the famous Cape Town Waterfront complex, with all it’s shops and restaurants mixed into an operational harbour. In the afternoon some of us may visit the well-known aquarium with it’s spectacular exhibits. Dinner and wine back at our hotel or in a fine restaurant

Take a Robben Island cruise to visit the historic island where Nelson Mandela and other political prisoners were held during apartheid. The guided tour, often led by former inmates, provides a powerful and personal perspective on South Africa’s struggle for freedom and democracy (weather permitting). Afterwards, return to the mainland and explore the colourful Bo-Kaap neighbourhood with its cobbled streets, vibrant houses, and deep-rooted Cape Malay heritage. Enjoy a cultural tour and savour traditional Cape Malay cuisine in a local home or restaurant, offering a warm and flavourful end to the day.

Today is dedicated to the Table Mountain National Park including a walk along the slopes and a cable car ride to the top to walk on the “table top” enjoying the spectacular views.

Being our last evening together it will be suitably enjoyed in the fairest Cape wine-and-dine style.

We say farewell to the Cape of Good Hope and depart from the Cape Town International Airport. Until we meet again.
