Before delving deeper into the journey, participants take a scenic drive through lush landscapes with a memorable visit to a renowned rhino conservation centre in the Bela Bela district. Here, firsthand learning about rhino protection efforts is paired with the opportunity to observe these majestic animals in their natural habitat. As evening falls, travelers settle into a tranquil lodge nestled within a wildlife sanctuary, where the sights and sounds of the bush prepare them for the adventures to come.

The day begins with an early morning departure, heading eastward as the landscape transitions to the wild beauty of the Lowveld. Along the way, stops at charming roadside farm stalls offer local delicacies and tranquil vistas. By midday, the group arrives in the Hoedspruit region, settling into a comfortable lodge. The afternoon is reserved for unwinding, with options for guided birdlife walks or relaxation as the sun sets. The evening features a convivial dinner paired with regional wines, building anticipation for the days ahead.

Stay at Moholoholo Yamani Lodge

We visit a local African community to experience the "Nourish Eco Village Program." The day also includes exploring the area for local crafts and curios, providing insights into regional artistry and culture.

Visit Moholoholo wildlife rehabilitation centre, known for caring for a variety of species from large predators to small antelope and birds. Learn from expert staff and observe the animals in their care. Next, visit the “Down to Wire” anti-poaching facility to hear firsthand about efforts to combat rhino poaching. End the day at the GreenTrax canine anti-poaching unit, where you will learn about the use of dogs in wildlife protection.

Day 5 marks entry into the central region of Kruger Park, with a leisurely safari bus drive to view the park's abundant wildlife. Accommodation is provided in Kruger Park camp chalets. Day 6 continues with game viewing and another overnight stay within the park.

Leaving Kruger Park, the group travels to Johannesburg for a connecting flight to Cape Town. Accompanied by the Ecolife guide, travelers collect a new comfortable bus at the airport and proceed to a lodge or hotel in the Stellenbosch district, located in the heart of the wine region. The evening features a fine dinner and renowned local wines.

The day is dedicated to a wine tour of Paarl, Franschhoek, and Stellenbosch, with visits to three top wineries. Guests enjoy another overnight stay at the hotel in Stellenbosch.

After breakfast, the journey continues to Simonds Town for a visit to Boulders Beach, home to endangered penguins. Boardwalks allow for close encounters with these unique marine birds. The expedition then follows the scenic western coastline of Valse Bay into Cape Point Nature Reserve, culminating at the lookout post where the Indian and Atlantic Oceans meet. The day ends with a fresh fish dinner in Hout Bay, accompanied by regional wines, before returning to the hotel.

Travelers move to Cape Town with a scenic one-hour drive, checking into the hotel for the final three nights. Weather permitting, the afternoon is spent relaxing on the famous Clifton beach.

The day is spent at the vibrant Cape Town Waterfront complex, offering a mix of shops, restaurants, and an operational harbour. In the afternoon, there is an optional visit to the renowned aquarium with spectacular exhibits. Dinner and wine are enjoyed either at the hotel or a fine local restaurant.

Participants take a Robben Island cruise (weather permitting), visiting the historic site where Nelson Mandela and other political prisoners were held. The guided tour, often led by former inmates, offers powerful insights into South Africa’s journey to freedom and democracy. Upon return, the group explores the colourful Bo-Kaap neighbourhood, learning about Cape Malay heritage and enjoying traditional cuisine in a local home or restaurant.

The day is dedicated to Table Mountain National Park, including a walk along the slopes and a cable car ride to the summit for spectacular views. The final evening is celebrated in true Cape wine-and-dine style.

After packing, the group departs for Cape Town International Airport, where regular flights are available to the USA and Europe.
